About Us
When Klaus Günther Knüpfer started OPTRON in Germany in 1989, he built his company on three solid foundations: his long-term experience with engineering high quality magnification devices, a strong dedication to delivering excellent service to customers and innovative ideas to continuously further the inclusion and independence of those with reduced visual abilities.
Over the years some changes have occurred. The company is now run by Klaus Knüpfer, Jr., the production line has expanded significantly, and OPTRON has built up an excellent reputation among people with a visual impairment. At this time, OPTRON has more than thirty employees. We are now operating in many European countries and have started serving North America. OPTRON today in Gross-Umstadt, Germany
